James' extensive experience, wisdom and knowledge of current and past Australian culture will help answer all your questions. He'll help you to speak Australian English.

Courses are designed for Asian students, but SpeakOz welcomes anyone interested in understanding Australian English.

The following lesson plan is a guide only. Each course is tailored to you.

Lesson Plan 1: Basic guide
Each lesson plan is changed to suit you. Make a list of words, social situations or conversation problems that you've had difficulties with and bring them along. James will help you to understand and solve them.

James will then take you through the tips and tricks that you will find useful in understanding Australians.

You will be surprised how much you learn in the first lesson. You can return to do more lessons within a day, a week or a month. Cost of the first lesson is only $AU25. Further lessons are only $AU20.

Lesson Plan 3: Newspapers
Learn how to look for and understand double meanings in the headings of most newspaper articles. Help with how to understand newspaper articles written in spoken Australian English. Cultural references covered. You'll be given a small, easy assignment that will help you remember.

Lesson Plan 5: Job Interviews
Got a Worker's Visa? Then you'll need a job. Choose this course to find out some of the popular phrases and questions used by Australian bosses as well as how to read the
secret language in an advertisement for a job.  Help with your resume also available.

Lesson Plan 8: Social conversation and culture
The pub and club scenes. Dining out. Parties. Personal space. Understanding an invitation. How your body contact and closeness could be misinterpreted by some Australians, and what it means to you. Body language. Being proactive.
